The world's first Certified Organic skincare, hair care, personal care, health care and cosmetic products
Certified organic skincare beauty products become a reality in our lives because we want to apply the same principle to our skin care products as we do to our eating habits and if you belong to the school of thought of "you are what you eat" then it's very important to be sure that whatever we put on our skin is clean, non-toxic and good for the earth.
Studies have proven, time and time again, that nothing you apply on your skin stays on the surface unless you immediately rinse it off. This giant sponge is able to absorb anything you put on it. Within 10-15 minutes a product will be completely absorbed into your skin, it is inside your body, which means underneath your skin. By this time, you can't wash it off anymore.
This also means that if you apply cosmetics, lotions, perfumes, make-ups on daily basis they will be absorbed and this way you are feeding your skin with whatever that product is. In other words, if you wouldn't eat it, you shouldn't put it on your skin! Your skin is a living organ, as so many others in your body. Since the skin can be a mirror for what is going on in the body, the chemicals may once again show up on the skin. It also means that the liver has to work harder to process them.
Don't you think it's wise to use organic skincare products if you eat organic foods unless you want to sabotage what you want to achieve?
Healthy SkinCare Is A Fundamental Part Of Looking Great
As never before more women and men are interested in taking care of their skin, and ensuring that they maintain their youthful looks for as long as possible. Along with drinking plenty of water and eating a healthy diet, moisturizing and nurturing the skin with the organic skincare products is the best way to grow old gracefully.
As we mature, the elastic and collagen, which is the connective tissues that give skin its firmness and elasticity, begin to disappear. Proper skin care is essential to keep this process at bay for as long as possible.
Switching to organic food in order to avoid consuming toxins is a wise choice. People are also becoming aware that what is put on the skin will always make its way into the blood stream. That means that if skincare products are full of chemicals, they will eventually be flowing through the body. Therefore they are turning to organic skincare formulations free from unnecessary synthetic ingredients.
Unfortunately in many cases shopping for organic skincare beauty products can be difficult if you don't know what to look for. The only way to learn is to read the ingredients list and look for any kind of synthetic chemicals. Yes, it takes some time to become a pro!
The list of the most popular synthetic chemicals used in skin care products:
1. Propylene Glycol (PG) and Butylene Glycol (BG)
2. Sodium Lauryl Sulfate (SLS) and Sodium Laureth Sulfate (SLES)
3. DEA (diethanolamine), MEA (monoethanolamine) & TEA
4. Polyethylene Glycol (PEG 4 - 200)
5. Sodium Hydroxide
7. DMDM and Urea (Imidazolidnyl)
8. Parabens (Methyl, Butyl, Propyl.. etc)
9. Alcohol, Isopropyl (SD-40)
10. Mineral Oil
11. FD&C Color Pigments
12. Fragrances (synthetic fragrances will have names like "essential
lavender oil", because no lavender was even used!)
None of the reputable organic skincare, natural or holistic company will use ANY of these because there are always natural alternatives to the chemical ones. Furthermore, you cannot make a truly organic product with synthetic chemicals. So, even if the name or packaging lures you with words like "all natural", "healthy", "holistic", "cruelty free" and even the very word "organic", turn that package right around and let that ingredient label speak for itself!
Natural skincare beauty products have never, until recently, had organic seals certifying them like food items. Again, with the raging consumer demand for more organic products, organic certifier seals have been showing up on a lot of skin care products. It takes time, effort and money to get organically certified. Chances are, if a company went that extra mile to get that seal of approval, their stuff and the ethics behind their stuff is probably really good.
Unfortunately, as with everything, there are Seals, and there is a second group of "Seals". This list shows you the different ways to classify organic certified Seals:
1. USDA Organic (95-100% organic) 2. Australian Certified Organic (95%-100% organic) 3. European Union/Agriculture Biologique (at least 95% organic) 4. BIO/Germany (at least 95% organic) 5. QAI/(Quality Assurance International) (at least 70% organic) 6. CAAQ/Canada (at least 70% organic) 7. Eco Cert (at least 10% organic of total ingredients)
"NATURAL" DOES NOT MEAN "ORGANIC"!
Here is an example, for skincare products. A Papaya-Coconut Lotion can have 100% natural ingredients with no synthetics, but if the papaya, coconut and the rest of the stuff in there is not organic, then it was grown using pesticides and therefore can only be termed "all natural" but not organic. This All Natural Papaya-Coconut Lotion would be an inferior product compared to a Certified Organic Papaya Lotion.
Look for Organic Certified SkinCare Beauty Products With The Seal
This is not perfect but at least the organic certifying seal guarantees that some if not all the ingredients are organic. So what to do if the seal is not there on the skincare product, should you not buy it? This is up to you, the consumer to make an informed decision, that's all. This is the difference between buying conventional and organic Papaya-Coconut Lotion, in the example above. You should know what you are buying, and what that entails for your skin, as well as the earth. We are the ones in charge, really. No person truly wants chemicals on their skin, people just want a product that works.
The "greener" of a world we become, the more the idea of organic skin care beauty products that actually work for us and the earth will become a reality.
Five Benefits of Choosing Certified Organic:
1.Good for the soil
Organic systems rely on a modern and scientific understanding of ecology and soil science, while also depending on traditional methods of crop rotations to ensure fertility and weed and pest control. Certified Organic products are grown and processed without the use of synthetic chemicals, fertilizers, or GMO's. It is an innovative method of farming and production and is increasingly being recognized as being on the leading edge of food and fiber technology into the future. Organics is not just chemical free by testing. It is about the way the product ingredients have been grown, prepared, processed and packaged. The whole system is linked.
2.Good for the environment
Organic systems aim to reduce dependence on non-renewable resources. Organic production aims at all times towards sustainability whilst having best management of the environment and wildlife as a priority. Certified products not only promote organic farming, health and public awareness of environmental ethics, they also create a more sustainable supply chain. For a product to be organic, there are conditions from the grower all the way through transportation, processing and packaging, so that all stakeholders in this supply chain make a business of becoming more green. All our suppliers must meet international organic standards. In the case of ONE group, we are the processor and distributor of our products and continue to find ways to make all aspects of our business practices greener.
3.Good for people
Organic based ingredients have been shown in a number of studies to contain more vitamins, nutrients and cancer-fighting antioxidants than non-organic ingredients. At ONE group, we firmly believe it is everyone's right and duty, to make informed and responsible decisions in their lifestyle and purchasing for their health, from a financial, social & environmental perspective. We believe it is the duty of businesses, governments and organizations to assist and promote this, through honest and responsible disclosure of their agenda, business practices and relevant product or service information. This includes promoting awareness of the indirect, as well as the direct impacts and implications of these products and services. You will therefore discover that all our promotional materials are based on education, not influence through "engineered hype" and purely self-serving messages.
4.No synthetic chemicals
Organic systems prohibit the use of artificial chemicals, pesticides and fertilizers. The benefits of Certified Organic products go much further than the products themselves. This approach effectively removes chemicals from the agricultural practices of growing our ingredients, as well as removing the manufacture of synthetic chemicals, and their by-products, that would otherwise go into equivalent conventional commercial products. In addition, it removes chemical exposure of our customers when using these products and of the environment when some of these products are washed down drains or disposed of, after use.
Certified Organic productsare produced without GMO's, which are prohibited in the standards for organic food and farming.A genetically modified organism (GMO) is a plant, animal or microorganism whose genetic code has been altered (subtracted from, or added to either the same species or a different species) in order to give it characteristics that it does not have naturally. Scientists can now transfer genes between species that otherwise would be incapable of mating, for example, a goat and a spider. This is what we call transgenesis. Little is known about the long-term effects of such manipulations on humans, plants, animals and/or the environment.
